"Forgiveness Will Set You Free"
Years of #Sacrifice, #Struggle and #Suffering; when your most desired dream seems so far away, with constant road blocks that make you wonder if it’s the Universe’s way to test how badly you want your dream to become a reality.
Years of ...
Betrayal, hardship, disappointment, sorrow and pain.
Years of ...
Love, joy, laughter, good times and hope.
As I reflected on the past several years I realized how amazing life is and how as human beings we have the choice on how we choose to live life.
It’s so much easier to forgive than, live life with anger and hate. It is easier to love, forgive those who have hurt and betrayed you. Even when that hurt broke you, I would rather spend my time loving rather than hating. The most important person I had to forgive was myself. For being too trusting, for loving too much for giving too much.
As I reflect on what I consider a life changing event I came across a post by Kathy Kinney in my Facebook feed. When I read it, I found perspective. It was as if someone flipped a switch in my brain. I realized that what happened was not my fault, I was but an innocent person betrayed by people I loved deeply. Bad things do happen to good people. I wondered “why me” and I realized that the Universe must know I have an inner strength I didn’t even know I have. Because somehow I am still standing. I am a little bruised, but wiser, stronger, and I am better person. So I thank you and forgive you.
